Commissioner Induction

These sessions are for commissioners and commissioner designates who are new to the role in Girlguiding Anglia and have been in the role for less than 6 months.

Commissioner induction training is offered virtually over two sessions. 

 Session 1 will cover:

·         The Commissioner role

·         Your team

·         Where to find help and support

·         Meetings and communication

·         Finance

·         Residential notification forms (RENs)

Session 2 will cover:

·         Go!

·         Unit visits and Doing our Best

·         Growth

·         Complaints and behaviour

·         Properly and / or land

·         Awards and Recognition

Session 1: Tuesday 13 October 2026

Session 2: Tuesday 3 November 2026

 Both sessions will run from 7:30pm to 9pm and is a great way to network and meet other new commissioners and ask any questions you may have. 

These sessions will be hosted on Zoom, although we are not expecting any children, do think about your surroundings, what you are wearing or saying, as other people in other houses might be able to hear or see you.
